Tangerine Tango

It’s official, my orange crush has got me in a twist! I’m all about the trendy tangerine. Pantone revealed the colour of 2012; Tangerine Tango. It’s a luscious reddish-orange colour that get me real excited to wear. Lucky for me, Spring collections have been bursting with this juicy hue and if the rumors are true, Fall will continue to utilize the trendy tangerine.

I incorporated the colour into my most recent look and paired it with a wild factor: leopard accessories. The dress, from Lulu*s really caught my eye and the title of this fierce frock; Darling Deneuve Red Dress. The color and unique fabric really drew me in and the one thing that basically was my “icing on the cake”: the leopard belt. I love pairing bold juicy colours with a touch of animal print. It really just takes an outfit up a notch.

One of the items in this look that really gets me excited are my leopard print “Catherine” pumps from Sole Society. I have been obsessing over these heels for a month as I had been hunting a pair of medium height leopard pointy heels for months! Also, if you don’t remember, I am one of the Fashion Insider’s this January for Sole Society, you can view the post here. Anyhow…I am extremely happy to have found these dreams shoes, and I’m 100% serious when I say…these are the most comfortable heels ever!

Fur & Leather

I am still obsessing over this faux fur jacket I bought from 2b by bebe. It’s so comfortable and warm that it’s become my new obsession! I already wore it with jeans for a day of shopping (you can view it here). This time, I wanted to try something different. I tucked in the sweater into my faux-leather pleated skirt (which I am also in love with) & for the first time in maybe…years, I wore a pony-tail. I never wear my hair up so it was a new leaf turned over. I am still unsure about it, but will try to incorporate up-do’s in the future to get over my fears.

For some reason, there is just something about all black that I find intriguing. I like to mix textures when wearing all black so it doesn’t look so…bland. Fur, leather & sequins…oh my!

Stars in my eyes

Happy Monday!!

I hope you all had an amazing weekend! Please tell me about it in comments below or tweet me!

As you know, I have recently bought this skirt from Zara and have been obsessed. I already wore it as a top (which you can see here) and so I finally chose to wear it as a skirt. I threw on a pair of solid black tights, and wore a cardigan in a cowl-neck style that I love so much. Then I added some sparkle with my sequin clutch. After all, how could you not sparkle while wearing stars?

I am also wearing my newest necklace, another crescent moon & star except this time the star is dangling. My boyfriends step-mother gave it to me & I’m so happy to have another crescent moon & star necklace to add to my collection :)

Seeing Stars

Well, it’s time I finally wore my new Zara heels. I am so in love with these, I haven’t even taken them off. To be honest, I cooked dinner in them. Call me crazy, but they’re so comfortable! I also recently purchased this Zara star printed asymmetrical skirt that I completely in love with. But, I wanted to wear it differently than other bloggers who I have seen sport it. Instead of wearing it in it’s true form, I wore it as a top. Since I’m small on top, it didn’t blouse over me which I am happy about.

I will definitely be wearing it as a skirt a million different ways, but that’s in the near future, so stay tuned :) .

Camel Chic

My new obsession for browns has been at an all time high. As a girl who usually resembles as if she’s dressed for a funeral (all black everyday), this has been a new milestone in my fashion risks. I don’t usually know how to make browns work together, I always feel like a tree stump. To feel less earthy and more girly, I threw on some red lipstick! This time I chose camel hues and added the richer brown hues in small details. I definitely love how complimentary these colors are so hopefully I can get more creative with my looks! I finally used my new leopard handbag to get a little wild with this look!
