VOGUE OFF (Sponsored Video)

This post is sponsored by River Island, but all thoughts are my own!

River Island, one of my favorite shopping destinations when I’m traveling, has created a unique, fun and stylish app that can get Johnny Depp in his dancing shoes…

Say whaaa? You heard me! You can take a picture of yourself, your friend, enemy, or future husband- Johnny Depp (I wish), pick a style of dance and voila! I’ve seen my fellow bloggers use Ryan Gosling, Bradley Cooper (if only he could start speaking French in the application) and more! The possibilities are endless…

One of the coolest things about this application is the the customization aspect of it. You can choose an array of outfits and mix patterns and prints! I’ve been playing with this app for about three hours and I sense it never going out go style anytime soon! I say head on over and play! Be sure to tell me how you styled your character via Twitter or leave a comment below!

My first dance move was with the Macarena…needless to say I was dancing right along! Naturally, I was having too much and had to keep going so I kept choosing different dances and couldn’t stop 1.Smiling, 2. Laughing, 3. Dancing! For a real fun experience, be sure to leave the dance blank as the assortment of dance moves will get you laughing and dancing along!

And real fast, if you haven’t yet heard of River Island, be sure to check them out. If you’re looking for a specific trend, they most likely have it. River Island is one of the most unique stores I have shopped at as they carry so many styles for every fashionista! You’ll find everything from polka dots, sequins, fringe, faux leather, and denim. A fashion obsessed girl’s shopping heaven…oh, and the price points of super stylish for any frugal fashionista.

And now I’m in the mood to scour the website… #shoppingaddiction

Be sure to check out the app and have a lot of fun!

Golden Rule

Before I delve into details about this post, let me just say how much I really adore Bakers Shoes. I have collaborated with them on a few projects and never have I felt so connected with a brand. As a consumer, it’s important to know how wonderful and customer-oriented a brand is…and Bakers Shoes is truly one of the most generous and creative companies I have worked with. I can’t thank them enough for their faith and constant support they have for my blog. So, a quick THANK YOU to Bakers Shoes!

As you may recall, I recently did a post about their Wild Pair Spring collection. I selected my favorite pair (which was hard to do) and styled it two ways (here). This post is probably one of my favorites, which happens to incorporate the “Jessica” wedge.

I’ve always loved the combination of black and gold, it’s classic!

Cool Blue

Today’s post features one of my favorite new dresses. This Forever 21 number is so flowy and feminine and I have a feeling this will be put to some good use! I love icy cold blue hues with silver. I think the combination is so perfect!

Cobalt Colorblock

Good news! I’ve finished my first semester of graduate school and it’s such an incredible feeling! With that being said, I’ve thrown on my blue suede shoes, and I’m ready to dance to the blues…

Just a quick special shout out to Baker’s Shoes for these amazing cobalt heels that I’ve been lusting for. I can’t wait to show them off more :) .

This outfit is inspired by the color-block trend as well as the floral trend…a nice mix of colors and print :) .

Playing with Colors

I have a serious obsession with my hot pink blazer. You can see it in previous posts here and here.

I also have worn this lace dress before (here) and I decided to incorporate the two. With the inspiration of my fellow bloggers, I’ve really began to embrace color-blocking. I color-blocked with my blazer, shoes and accessories to do something that was uniquely…me!

I’m really loving the orange and pink together! What do you think?

Dress: Forever 21 (similar & really cute one here), Handbag: Sugar and Sequins (similar here), Pendant Necklace: Stella & Dot, Heels: Nine West (similar here), Bracelets: c/o Melinda Maria.
