Cobalt Colorblock

Good news! I’ve finished my first semester of graduate school and it’s such an incredible feeling! With that being said, I’ve thrown on my blue suede shoes, and I’m ready to dance to the blues…

Just a quick special shout out to Baker’s Shoes for these amazing cobalt heels that I’ve been lusting for. I can’t wait to show them off more :) .

This outfit is inspired by the color-block trend as well as the floral trend…a nice mix of colors and print :) .

Black & Yellow

Nope, I’m not going to start flowing to “Black & Yellow” but I am flowing in my high-low skirt. This skirt has been sitting in my closet for almost six months, so I finally found a piece that was complimentary & unique to go with it. The neon bustier I’m wearing is from my online store (pre-launch) Sugar and Sequins and it’s probably my favorite item from the store (be sure to sign up on the site for a big discount when we go LIVE). I have about seven ways I plan on wearing it, but you’ll have to wait and see for those looks!

Also, I was gifted this GORGEOUS bangle set from Melinda Maria jewelry. I don’t think I’ve taken them off as they go perfect with my gold rush “arm swag”. The bangles, which are each different, but so complimentary of each other, are quite possibly my newest jewelry addiction. If you haven’t checked out Melinda Maria jewelry, I would suggest you do so. Every item is swoon-worthy.

I’m also wearing my Stella & Dot necklace which has been my go-to pendant necklace as it adds that perfect sparkle to any outfit.

Little Black Dress

The Little Black Dress, or LBD for short is a classic staple that has been constantly reinvented every season. This LBD is one of my personal favorites. Why? Because it’s extremely versatile. I’ve worn this dress during the day, and at night, and the structured cut of it makes me feel so Victoria Beckham-esque.

I threw on a fun multi-color statement necklace and a red clutch to add some pops of color. Oh, and let’s not forget to mention my new obsession for mellow yellow nails!

As always, to tone this look down, I opted for basic black booties. These babies, from Bakers, are my all-time favorite booties. Sadly, it’s been a few years and I’m waiting for them to make a pair as close to these as possible. Even if they don’t…I’d probably buy any boots/booties they make as they’re all too fab.

Other than that…HAPPY MONDAY!

Tickled Pink

This month has me tickled pink! I can’t stop throwing on pink pieces and I don’t think I’ll stop anytime soon (promise I won’t spam this blog with too much pink!). Anyhow, I wore this gorgeous dress from Blaque Label to my best friend Burcin’s engagement party. I threw on a gold & black belt which matched my gold & black clutch! I kept the shoes simple as the dress really did take center stage!

I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this dress. It’s super flattering & so fun! I can’t wait to create more unique looks with this va-va-voom piece! (I’m thinking oversized knit sweaters & ankle boots)

Dress: Blaque Label, Shoes: Christian Louboutin, Belt: Zara, Clutch: Balenciaga, Cuffs: Sugar and Sequins.

The dress is available in PINK, BLUE, & PURPLE. Click the color you like and it will direct you to where you can get it! (BTW, I’m 5’7 and wear a small).

Cherry Pie

Colored denim has been a raging trend and it shows no sign of leaving the runways and the streets any time soon. This weekend I took my cherry-red skinnies for a whirl. I love this color because it’s bright and it can be tamed with black and white (my staple colors). I threw on my leopard “Catherine” heels from Sole Society and I felt work and play appropriate. BTW, if you haven’t checked out Sole Society, do it! I have to say…this month’s collection is to die-for! Expect to see new styles from them on the blog! You can browse their site here.

The great thing about colored denim is that you can wear it both day and night. Also, by playing with various color palettes you can really create unique looks. Anyhow, hope you all have had a wonderful weekend :)
